NetFlix: Now Watch Partially Downloaded Movies Offline on Android, Not iOS

Netflix’s new version feature help users to watch and download movies/shows at the same time. This is exactly like watching partially downloaded Netflix movies offline.

Netflix recently updated its Android app with a new element. This is sure to make iPhone users green-eyed, particularly if they eagerly download a movie before a trip or other long voyage. A new feature that affects the way Netflix handles locally downloaded movies, permit you to watch the movie before downloading the movies.

The skill to download a Netflix movie to watch in the absence of a proper internet connection was a great feature when it launched. It’s incredibly convenient to load up a few Netflix series or movies before boarding a plane or getting into the back seat of a car for a long journey. Unfortunately, Netflix required users to download a full title before playing it. But now that’s not an issue anymore for Android users because now watch partially downloaded movies offline on your device.

Well, Netflix declared yesterday, the new feature will benefit Android users whose Netflix application has been updated to version 7.64 or later. When the Netflix application downloads content in the background, users can tap the Play button and watch the video when the download is complete. This is very important for those who are trying to download a bit to look at sooner than losing their internet connection. I would personally adore the new feature and every Netflix lover would admire it too, except iPhone users.

Win-Win for Android user

Similar to “Downloads for You”, which is based on Netflix’s algorithm that was launched for Android users a few months ago. Now Netflix promises that this new playable and downloadable option will eventually go to iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad. “Downloads For You” offers Android users pre-downloaded movies and TV shows that Netflix thinks the user will enjoy in the past. This feature is great when internet connection fade away since it is a way to only watch for Android.

By adding features to Android devices first, Netflix counters the long-standing trend of iOS updates outperforming competing platforms. iOS has been the platform of an option for band to add new features to their apps, but Netflix does the opposite that Android users will love.

Netflix hasn’t said about the plane of rolling the new feature for iOS users but hoping to come soon. But for the meanwhile Android will enjoy the premium Netflix experience first.
