Update your iPhone to iOS 26 today, or be ready to get hacked

The headline of my story might seem bit absurd, but it’s true. A major chuck of the iPhone fraternity is under risk now. As per latest reports, millions of iPhone users who have not yet upgraded to the latest iOS 26 OS, are at the risk of getting attacked by the mercenary spyware.

According to a report by “Forbes”, more than half of the iPhone users across the globe haven’t upgraded their devices to the iOS 26 OS owing to their dislikes for the new “Liquid glass feature” and few other changes made in the device post update. But this is a major threat for all such users as the spyware might get installed to their device at any point of time.

Though the attackers at this moment target the well know users, but in coming days might target the mass, thereby causing immense threat for the un-upgraded devices. So all iPhone users above iPhone 11 are suggested to update their device to iOS 26 at the earliest. To do so, they can Settings>General>Software Update.

And if you are an iPhone user who don’t want to upgrade your device to the new Operating System, Forbes suggests you turn off your device completely at least for a week to avoid installation of the spyware on your device. Even if the Spyware has already been installed, it can help in removing the software from the device, though it’s not fully assured.

And once you restart your device after a week, be cautious enough while clicking on unknown links, pop-ups, and attachments, specifically the ones sent from unknown numbers or emails to avoid hacking of your device. But the best solution is to upgrade to the latest iOS 26 as it’s been designed to protect the iPhones from ongoing spyware attacks, as reported by Forbes.
