Root Samsung Galaxy A72 4G on Android 11 using Magisk and TWRP

This is a regular rooting and you would handle it very well as the procedure is too simple. The rooting is done on Samsung Galaxy A72 4G LTE Android 11. We will use Magisk and TWRP to root the device. As the TWRP is used this allows compatible custom ROMs to install into it. The model we are gonna apply the root is SM-A725F and SM-A725M. Let’s get started.

Caution

Once the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G  is been rooted can’t return back to its original ROM unless it is been treated with Official stock ROM. So do think a bit more times to root the device and bear the warranty loss. You won’t be able to get official OTA updates on your Smartphone. If not followed the steps properly, the device gets completely dead. Any damage or loss will not be the responsibility of Blogzamana. But at the time of any doubt, we will defiantly meet the correct answer to it.

Pre-Requirements

  • Samsung Galaxy A72 4G
  • Windows PC
  • You must have network with 4G connectivity on your PC or laptop what you are using to download files from here
  • Original USB cable must be used or else the device will not get detecte
  • Download and install the Samsung USB driver to your computer system.
  • Battery power must be roughly 40% or more to stay away from automatic shut down
  • Enable the USB Debugging by Settings > Applications > Development and tick the USB Debugging box. Afterwards untick the USB Debugging box for security grounds
  • Back up all the personal data present in the phone through backup apps
  • Download ODIN software and install in PC
  • Download twrp-3.5.2_10-0-a72q.img.tar and rename the file to recovery.tar; copy it on your PC
  • Download Samsung Galaxy A72 4G LTE Android 11 Firmware and save it on your PC

Root and Install TWRP on Samsung Galaxy A72 4G LTE Android 11 One UI 3.1 SM-A725F, SM-A725M

Patch Boot Image file

  1. First download the 7Zip-ZS, LZ4
  2. Install both the files on the computer
  3. Then extract the files in downloaded firmware using 7Zip-ZS.
  4. You will get four files. Click on the AP File and Extract again. You will get some data along with the boot.img.lz4.
  5. Well Copy the boot.img.lz4 and Vbmeta.img.lz4 to LZ4 Installed folder.
  6. After that convert the lz4 file to a .img file by passed out the .img file to the lz4 application file. You have to pull the file to that application. There the script will routinely exchange the file to .img format.
  7. After the exchange, Copy the boot — img file to your mobile. Leave Vbmeta in the computerfolder.
  8. Download Magisk Manager and install it on your smartphone
  9. Now open the Magisk  after selecting the same and when it ask for a zip file and Patch Boot Image File. Select the Boot Image file.
  10. Well, find the way to your copied boot image file and patch the file.
  11. stay for the process to finish; you will find a magisk patched .img file in the end. Rename this file into the boot.img again.
  12. Then copy boot. img and Vbmeta. img files to your PC. And then leave the Vbmeta. img file on computer. Drag those files into the downloaded TWRP.tar file. There after you get three files within the TWRP.tar file. Don’t extract the data. The three files contain a single .tar file that should be flashed using ODIN.

TWRP on odin

  1. Well Flash TWRP.tar using ODIN
  2. Connect the USB cable to the computer. Turn off the device. Then enter the download mode. Were you need to, press and hold the volume down button + switch button and connect the mobile phone to the computer with the USB cable; When the Samsung logo appears, release all keys.
  3. To display a warning message, press the volume up button to continue.
  4. Now connect your Samsung Galaxy A72 4G LTE mobile phone to your computer with a USB cable.
  5. Start Odin on your computer. When this program detects a device (Odin), you will see the message: added
  6. If the device is not properly connected to the computer, you will not see this message. Therefore, you need to check that the USB cable is practical and reconnect the device.
  7. After connecting the Samsung device, press the PDA / PA / AP button to browse / search and enable TWRP from the location where it was stored on the computer. Also, go to the “Options” section and clear the Automatic restart check box.
  8. Then click on start and reboot if the file is loaded into the Samsung phone.

Congratulations, you have just installed TWRP on your Samsung Galaxy A72 4G LTE. We just installed TWRP. Do not switch on the mobile phone. Go to the Magisk installation steps now. To leave download mode, press the volume down + power button, and then press the volume up + volume down + power button to load in recovery mode.

Install Disable Verity and Magisk in your Samsung Galaxy A72 4G LTE using TWRP

  1. You are now in TWRP recovery mode.
  2. Select wipe -> Advanced wipe -> Select cache Data. You can also use TWRP for a full backup. This will help if you have problems.
  3. Return to the TWRP home page and select Install.
  4. Select multidisabler-samsung.zip.
  5. Again Return to the TWRP home page and select Install.
  6. Select DM Verity.zip. Also install Magisk.zip.
  7. You need to install them one by one. Do not add additional zip functions to the TWRP. When the installation is complete, restart your phone.
  8. You can also install Magisk.apk in your mobile application. Multiple deactivations prevent post-root encryption problems. You can use the root check to check the status of the root.

If there is no Magisk in the application tray, you must reinstall Magisk.
