The World Cup Winning Team celebrates with Fake Trophy, then where reamains the real one?

The 12th edition of World Cup Cricket, World Cup Cricket 2019 is starting on 30 May and every world cup participant team will try to win the trophy. The final match of the World Cup will be played on the historic Lord’s grounds of London on July 14. But do you know the World Cup winner is given the world cup’s replica, not the real trophy.

But the original trophy of the World Cup alwyas remains with the International Cricket Council (ICC). The winning teams were given the same type of trophy in the first three World Cups i.e. 1975, 1979, and 1983. Design of the trophy was not changed in the first three World cups as main sponsor of the three was Prudential Plc, a British multinational life assurance and financial services company headquartered in London.

After the first three World Cups when the sponsor changed, design of the trophy was also changed. The ICC for the first time handed over its trophy to the winning team and since then the trend continues. For your information, the World Cup trophy is made of gold and silver. A golden game is placed above three silver columns. This trophy wighs around 11 kg and its height is 60 cm. The trophy also holds the name of all previous winning teams.

Before the World Cup, the ICC Trophy has not only sent to countries which are participating in the tournament, but for the first time going beyond the conventional bases of cricket, it’s also sent to those 11 countries where cricket is being developed including Nepal, America And Germany.
