7th Pay Commission DA hike, Check latest updates

A 4% DA raise is predicted this time, based on the most recent reports and indications from the All-India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) estimations.

The second Dearness Allowance (DA) revision for central government employees for this year is expected to be made available to the public the following week. Earlier sources had stated that the DA raise would be revealed by July 31. However, the latest rumors indicate that the announcement would occur somewhere around August 3. The Madhya Pradesh government approved an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for the state’s more than 7.5 lakh public employees, bringing it to 34%. In accordance with a statement from the chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the increase is to cost the treasury an additional Rs 625 crore.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a statement, “The government has decided to raise the DA of state employees to 34 percent, which will be at par with the Central government. This will put an additional burden of Rs 625 crore on the exchequer, but it will benefit over 7.5 lakh employees and improve their lives.”

A 4% DA raise is predicted this time, based on the most recent reports and indications from the All-India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) estimations. Although a higher figure of 5 or 6 percent has also been forecasted in the past, the actual percentage is probably closer to the 4-percent range. The central government personnel had previously received a DA raise of 3% earlier in the year, bringing the total to 34% from 31%. The All-India Consumer Price Index (AICPI), which has been increasing since February this year, saw a substantial increase of 1.3 points in May, bringing it to 129, which sparked discussion about a 6 percent increase if the trend continued in June. AICPI increased by 0.2 percent in June, bringing it to 129.2. Analysts see this data as supporting a 4 percent increase.

For the central government employees earning a base salary of Rs 56,000, the DA they currently receive is Rs 19,346 per month. However, with the predicted DA boost, that amount shall rise to Rs 21,622 per month. This, altogether, shall result in a yearly increase of Rs 27,312.
