Yahoo launches On Demand passwords service

Cybercrime cases are increasing every day. People are being forced to compromise their security and privacy online. Passwords are being stolen, emails hacked and all important documents are being leaked. We all know about email hacking, once hacked all your personal stuff and official details may be leaked. Your email account can be misused for doing other criminal activities. Many companies are trying hard to find a way to bring this problem to rest.

Email accounts ask users to create a very strong password but these are very difficult for us to remember. Yahoo has now launched a new service called “on-demand” passwords. This new service is believed to eliminate the outdated and unsecure password logins totally. To use the feature you must register your mobile number and turn on ‘on-demand’ passwords in your accounts security settings. Dylan Casey, Yahoo’s vice president of product management for consumer platforms, said that this was the first step to eliminate the passwords.

Now, let ‘s see how this service is so secure. The authentication process  will send a new password to the your registered mobile phone, each time you have to log into their Yahoo account. After that whenever users try to login, they will see a “send my password” button, and Yahoo will message a four-character password to their phone

Yahoo has also revealed a working version of its new end-to-end encryption system at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. This will make it easy for the users  to encrypt emails with only a click. This will be available for the users by the end of this year.
