Xiaomi has unveiled a special edition of the Mi Note with a bamboo material back panel, called the Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition. The bamboo edition smartphone has been priced at CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 23,000). The Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition will be available for customers in China starting March 24. The bamboo back panel of this special edition smartphone is claimed to have undergone 19 different processes to make it super smooth.
The Xiaomi Mi Note features a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Sharp JDI display offering a pixel density of 386ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. . The handset measures 155.10 x 77.60 x 6.95 . The handset features a metal frame. The Xiaomi Mi Note is a dual-SIM and dual-standby smartphone. It is powered by a 2.5 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and Adreno 330 GPU. The handset comes loaded with superfast 3GB of RAM. It is being offered with an option of 16 GB internal memory or 64 GB internal memory.
Talking about the camera features, the Mi Note sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a six-element lens, OIS, a Sony CMOS sensor, and two-tone flash from Philips. There is also a 4-megapixel front-camera with large 2-micron pixels. The connectivity features of the Xiaomi Mi Note includes 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5 mm jack, and USB . It packs a massive 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The smartphoneiwas initially launched in January, the Xiaomi Mi Note smartphone was priced at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 23,000) for the 16GB model, while the 64GB model was priced at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 27,900).
Earlier, Xiaomi India had launched the Redmi 2 at a price of Rs. 6,999. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 sports a 4.7-inch IPS display with HD (720×1280 ppi) resolution and 312ppi. The smartphone runs the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with company’s own MIUI 6 skin on top. The highlighting feature of this budget phone is that it has 4G dual-SIM functionality and both SIM card slots support 4Gconnectivity.The Redmi 2 handset is powered on a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (Cortex-A53) and Adreno 306 GPU. It features 1GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 offers a descent 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD. The handset is equipped with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
