If you are a user of this tablet then you must be crazy to upgrade it further as the tab was by default launched with Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. And as we know that Honeycomb is the very base version of Android, so obviously you would like to upgrade it further. But how? Very simple. You have to follow the instruction mentioned below and it will be done in few minutes.

But before that we would like to let you know that we don’t have any information what changelog your Galaxy Tab would experience post upgradation. But we can assume superiority in your device. You must be assuming the same too, I suppose. However, you must know that it’s an official update in a manual way. But if you want to wait the firmware via OTA, then keep checking the notification panel of your handset. It might hit your device at any point of time.

Pre-Requirements

  1. Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi GT-P7510
  2. Computer with USB cable and internet connectivity
  3. Backup of all data in your Galaxy Tab using apps or computer
  4. Charge up the Galaxy Tab to full battery because it shouldn’t get stopped during update
  5. Enable the USB debugging in developer option in setting

Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi to Android Sandwich

  1. At First download both the files from above given link on your PC and extract them with suitable software.
  2. Then run odin by hitting the execution file on your computer and conversely switch off the phone.
  3. Take the phone and press the Volume down+ home+ power buttons together to put the device in download mode.
  4. The warning message when appears, press the volume up button.
  5. Connect the Tab with the USB cable and on the odin panel the message box flashes with an added message. Make sure the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
  6. Click on the “PDA/AP” button and choose the .tar file from the extracted firmware folder and click the start button. Wait for few minutes and when the pass message appears, detach the USB cable. The phone will automatically get rebooted.
  7. If you get into the bootloop sequence and the Tab is not starting in 10 minutes, then put your device in recovery mode and factory reset and wipe out all the cache. Then reboot it again to enjoy the latest firmware.
