Now this popular messaging app has added another feature to its Smartphone software, the capability to record and send voice messages. According to the report this feature will be available for the iPhone, Android , Blackberry, Windows Phone and Nokia S40 platforms. Whatsapp has not put any duration limit on sending voice messages. It can automatically play the records through headphones if plugged in, and users can also see when their recording has been listened to.

How to send voice message using WhatsApp:
You may be excited to know how you can send voice message in WhatsApp. It’s very easy you can follow the steps below to send the voice message.

  1. Open the recipient or group that you want to send the audio message to.
  2. Tap on the microphone icon and hold it down.
  3. You can record your message by holding your finger on the microphone icon in the interface.
  4. Once you let go, the message is send automatically.

While recoding voice messages you need to be very careful as it neither include any option to listing to the message before sending nor asks you to conform the massage sending. You can’t even block the message from being send, the only way to block the message is to disable the network connection.

Lastly, with this new feature WhatsApp can compete with other voice messaging software like Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Voxer and BBM. But still it lacks many options like; it doesn’t display the size of the recorded audio file and even not able to host interactive voice conversations.
