iOS 15 vs. Android 12: Which OS has changed the most this year?

Apple announced the iOS 15 update at WWDD 21 a few hours ago, where some major changes are expected on your iPhone. This time Apple is focusing on personalization and privacy. This is not a huge leap to the level of iOS 14, but it is enough for the iPhone to capture the attention of real iPhone users. The same can be said about Android 12.

Google’s design was closely monitored to similar iOS 14-like during last year’s annual Android update. You can see the changes Google is trying to make to Pixel devices in the Android itinerary. Google doubled down on its privacy concerns this year by cleverly updating its flagship operating system. In short, Android 12 has a lot to expect.

Apple iOS 15

Since iOS 15, Apple has not changed much in terms of iPhones this year. Rather than introducing features like last year’s gadgets, the focus is on making things easier. While the interface remains unchanged and frequently the exception of new wallpapers is still the same and reworked notifications.

Apple has taken the freedom of working on this year’s notifications. Users can compile their notifications in various profiles such as DNT, driving, work, home. You can select one of them and ask iOS to report only the apps you want. The not so important notifications can now be stored and scheduled to display as a summary of all notifications at some point. As the notifications UI now looks more like Android this year.

FaceTime features background noise reduction, portrait mode effects in video calls, and the new network view for conference calls. SharePlay allows iPhone users to listen to Apple Music or watch Apple TV together while making calls. In addition, Android users can now participate in FaceTime calls using FaceTime links through a browser.

This year Safari has changed with Smart Tabbed Management. Now the search bar has rest to the bottom and you can swipe to switch to the next one.

The Camera app can now scan text from photos that to be copied to other apps or saved as notes. This time the Spotlight Search displays images and information about the content of your search online. Siri also works offline and you can expect commands to be executed quickly. Sharing with you now displays all the links and media shared by your friends on iMessage in one place.

Finally, the Application Privacy Statement allows you to track access to phone data from all installed applications. Users can see which domain names are used and which sensors are used in these situations. Email Privacy Protection hides IP addresses for better privacy.

Android 12

Android 12 is more new with new necessary privacy added. The biggest notable change with Android is the Material You theme of the product you are going through. Android 12, which has excellent display functions and a well-known shade, is different from any normal skin this year. Lock screen or AOD or first screen your phone sets colour matching to the wallpaper colours. There are more aspects of colour than dark and light. The material you design will be limited to pixel devices only as of now

The Notification tab provides access to services such as Google Pay and home control. Google Assistant is now available by double-clicking the power button.

Google assures to work faster with Android 12. Processor start-up time is reduced by 22% and new videos help to elevate the experience to another level. Android TV Remote is now in standard mode. Chrome can now suggest bad passwords and use Google Assistant to change them quickly with Secure one.

Privacy is centralized for Android 12. There’s a new app in the privacy panel that lets you know what an app like iOS 15 uses on your personal devices. This does not follow websites like iOS 15. Rather informs you when the device sensor is accessed in use of apps.

Google is developing its own camera algorithm to suit users of all colours. Future updates are expected to improve lighting, exposure and details expected with future updates.

Device supported for latest iOS 15 and Android 12

The iOS 15 update is available for all iPhone 6S models, including the iPhone 7 series, iPhone 8 series, iPhone X, iPhone XS series, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone SE (first and second generation), and iPod Touch 7 3rd generation.

At the same time, Android 12 will come with Pixel 3 Series, Pixel 3A Series, Pixel Series 4, Pixel 4A Series and Pixel 5.
