Skoda has rolled out The Octavia in a brand new version Laurin and Klement in the UK market. The car will come in two variants-estate and sedan. The car will be offered with two engine options- petrol engine and diesel engine.
The petrol variant will feature a 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine which delivers 160 PS of maximum power and a torque of 250Nm.This engine also gets an option to be mated with the 7-speed DSG automatic system or a 6-speed manual gear box. The car with the manual option will deliver a mileage of 16.39kmpl and with the automatic speed box the mileage will be a bit higher at 17.56kmpl. The estate model of the petrol variant is priced at £27,375 while the sedan is priced at £26,570.
The diesel variant will be equipped with a 2.0 litre TDI diesel which delivers 170 PS of maximum power and a torque of 320Nm. This variant will also be getting the option to be mated with 7-speed automatic DSG gear box or the 6-speed manual gear box. The car with the manual option will deliver a mileage of 24.39kmpl and with the automatic DSG speed box it will deliver a bit lesser mileage of 22.23kmpl. The estate model of the diesel variant is priced at £28,665 while the sedan is priced at £26,410.Thus the 2.0 TDI estate model is the top end model among the four.
