We have recently discussed about the latest Android 12 OS which was introduced in Google I/O 2021 held on May 18. The version is in its beta stage that means it may have bugs as it seen in many cases. The bugs may spoil your smartphone or device running on Android. It may tamper your phone functionality and make it unresponsive. Now Google wants the techies to find out these bugs in Android security reward program which has price money of Rs 7 crore.
The Google’s bug bounty programe asks techies to analyze the Android 12 beta 1 and beta 1.1 build for Pixel devices. In this reward blog, Google said that if anyone finds the security vulnerability in the two new Android 12 build between May 18 to June 18 will be eligible for 50% bonus over and above standard payout. The bug programe is only for the Pixel devices including Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, 4, 4 XL, Pixel 3a, 3a XL, 3 and 3 XL.
Google also noted vulnerabilities in the Bug Bounty program. These bugs include AOSP codes, OEM codes, kernels, secure element codes and trust zone OS and modules. Some other vulnerability in non-Android code may be enabled “if they affect the security of the Android OS.” Google will offer a bonus award for the entire exploit series, the information of which is given on the Android Security Rewards program website.
