Enlarge Instagram DPs Now, Here’s How!

Instagram now allows you to view both your own and other users' profile pictures in their full size, Read to know how!

Instagram was far more guarded in that sense than other social media sites, which allowed you to view both your own and other users’ profile pictures in their full size. You could only see a tiny portion of someone’s face on the app, just enough to identify them. There are third-party apps that allow you to get closer, but they weren’t all that clever.

According to a recent finding by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, you may soon be able to tap and hold on someone’s IG profile photograph to see an extended version of it.

Users can now easily zoom in on Instagram DPs with a single tap. It’s in early testing, and Instagram hasn’t yet provided any info on a plan for a larger roll out. A circular pop-up with a larger version of the profile photo is now shown when tapping on profile pictures.

The action is valid for both public and private accounts that you follow and do not follow. For those who have stories up, you would need to long-press on the profile image.

Instagram has been consistently adding new features lately. Previously, the platform included support for GIFs in story replies and comments. Instagram then introduced Quiet Mode and Not Interested Mode in January to help users focus and establish limits with their friends and followers.
