Idea Cellular has launched two 3G smartphones – the Magna and Magna L . The Idea Magna is priced at Rs. 4,999 and the Idea Magna L is priced at Rs. 6,250 . Idea says that that the new 3G budget smartphones are particularly targeted at young students, professionals and first time smartphone users. Idea has launched many smartphones including Idea ID 920, Fab, Aurus series, Ultra Pro , Ultra Plus, !d 1000 and more. The Idea Ultra II is available at Rs10,750. The Ultra II sports a 5.5 inch qHD IPS display. It is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad core processor. It is loaded with with 1GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The smartphone runs Android Jelly Bean v4.2 . ULTRA II sports a 8MP Auto Focus camera with Flash It also has a 2MP front selfie camera. This smartphone packs a 2500 mAh battery. The connectivity features of the smartphone include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth among others.
Speaking on the launch, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular said that 3G adoption is greatly dependent on pricing of 3G smartphones and data plans. By bundling 16GB 3G data with their entire range of smartphones, they had brought down the total cost of owning a smartphone, and 3G connection, by over 50 percent. With the new range of Magna and Magna L, 2G users could conveniently upgrade to 3G by paying as low as Rs. 4,999 and acquire a stylish 3G smartphone with 16 GB data.
The Idea Magna features a 4-inch display and is powered by a 1.3 Ghz dual-core processor It features qa 5-megapixel rear camera and it also has a VGA front camera . While ,the Idea Magna L sports a 4.5-inch display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and sports a 5-megapixel rear camera alongside a VGA front camera. The Magna L also include sensors like proximity sensor ,G sensor and ambient light sensor. Idea also is also offering a flip cover for those opting for the Magna L.
Both smartphones Idea Magna and Idea Magna L are loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box . Both the Idea phones support Dual SIM and support 3G connectivity. Rest features have not been reveled yet. We will try our best to let you know all the hidden features soon.
Idea has also announced a bundled offer for all new Idea 3G smartphones customers. They can avail 16GB 3G data worth Rs. 3,200 by just a Rs. 261 recharge . So they will get 4GB of 3G data every month for the first four months. Moreover, the company is also giving a free subscription of Idea TV for 4 months.
