There was news around the nook and corner since few days that the Google edition of Samsung Galaxy S4 (Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition) is gonna release soon. Well, the news is no more a rumour as its release date and price got revealed recently at the Google I/O event, going on at Moscone Centre in San Fransisco. Hugo Barra, the Vice President of Android Product Management at Google made the announcement on stage.

Well, this is nothing but an augmented Smartphone that brings you the TouchWiz user interface for the stock Android experience and provides you with the software frequency and user experience of Nexus. What reveals Hugo Barra, the upcoming Smartphone, co-developed by Google and the South Korean giant manufacturer Samsung is slated to release on June 26 and will be available at an expected price tag of $649 contract-free.
Apart from Google Play, the device will be made available at a couple of US carries, the famous AT&T and T-Mobile. Though Google has not made anything evident regarding the price tag of the device in these two carriers, but what we hear they might set a price tag of $199 for it with a two-year contract. Well, the specialities of the Smartphone revealed by Hugo Barra include the 4G LTE networks, 16 GB in-built memory and an unlocked bootloader.
Taking a look on the detailed specifications and features of the upcoming Smartphone sounds in vain, since Google has revealed nothing in particular regarding this. But further analysing the specs we can deduce that the device of course is powered by the Snapdragon 600 processor as it supports the LTE networks in the US. Among other specs, the device features a super AMOLED 5-inch display with 441 pixel density and supports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 SoC with an Aderno 320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

Came to know about this in Google I/O event. Unlocked version is common in india but not in the US. But for S4 users this is a gr8 news. Now they don’t have to wait for 6 to 8 months to get firmware update..
