Google Map Updated to Version 8.0.0, Comes with Exciting New Features

Most of you must have already noticed an update for the Google Maps available in the Google Play Store. And it also mustn’t have gone unnoticed that Google indeed has updated the Google Map to a brilliant new version with ample changes and improvements in it. But because it is being released in phases, the updated Google maps might take a while to reach every part of the world but that, indeed will happen very soon.

With a great number of new improvements like Lane Guidance support for Navigation, better offline Maps support, and many others, the Google map version 8.0.0 update is a vast one. This enormous update of Google Maps for Android-based smart phones and tablets brings along many exciting tweaks like turn-by-turn navigation support for arrival time, possibility for users to save and manage any offline maps to a custom list which works wonders for slow and unsteady internet connections.

Quick access for alternate roads and routes and distance is another great change to look forward. The most exciting of all is the feature that now allows users to view the time it takes to walk during a trip or to know the bus and train schedules. Added to these, the new update also supports signing in to ‘Places to review’ directly from your saved and searched-for locations and places taking the whole new Google Map experience to another level.

Another great tweak that the new map features is new Lane Guidance feature for United States, Japan and Canada. Maps can now be edited even when users are offline and can be renamed for a better feasibility.
