How to Update Samsung Galaxy A71 SM-A715F to Android 10 A715FXXS3ATH2 Firmware

The Samsung Galaxy A71 with model number SM-A715F is no receiving the official Android 10 update in a number of countries that include Portugal, Greece, Germany, Craze Republic, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain and Italy. This update carries the PDA name A715FXXS3ATH2 which aims at fixing the existing issues on the Samsung Galaxy A71 and stable device performance. The firmware is rolled Over The Air and hence the users are primarily recommended to use Samsung’s own utilities Samsung Switch or OTA to upgrade their handsets . But to flash manually, you can follow the steps given below.

Note that this Android 10 A715FXXS3ATH2 firmware is directly offered by Samsung. It’s an official update in a manual way. We will not be blamed for anything wrong if happens to your Smartphone during the update. It’s all your responsibility if anything wrong happens during the update.

Requirement
  1. Samsung Galaxy A71 SM-A715F
  2. Computer (Windows XP or Windows 7)
  3. Original USB Cable
  4. Enable the USB Debugging by going to settings>application>development and tick the USB Debugging box. Do not forget to untick the box after the update is finished.
  5. Backup all personal data such as SMS, MMS, videos, music, apps, contacts, messages, apps etc present in phone using a backup app to avoid data loss.
  6. Power up the Smartphone if your battery is low and it must be at least 50% or more to avoid auto shutdown during update.

How to Update 
  1. First make sure the Samsung Galaxy A71 is not rooted, else it may not update properly.
  2. After download the Android 10 A715FXXS3ATH2 Firmware for your Samsung Galaxy A71 Smartphone and next download Odin. Do not rename it.
  3. After extract both the downloaded files to your PC and place them on the desktop for easy finding during update.
  4.  Switch off the Samsung Galaxy A71 and put it into download mode.
  5. Then double click on Odin, launch it and then with the help of USB connect the Smartphone to your PC. The ID:COM box in Odin will turn yellow indicating that the device is properly connected. If this doesn’t happen then you might not have enabled USB Debugging. Do so at first.
  6. After select “PDA” and choose the .tar5 file extension that was downloaded & extracted in the beginning. Now  click on the Start button.
  7. The update will start and will take few minutes. The phone will reboot automatically once the update is finished. Then unplug the USB cable.
