HTC has took its wraps off the HTC One A9. We know that you have always wished to own an apple Iphone6 but it was too expensive for most of us. Now, you can own a smartphone that looks similar to iPhone6 and also functions well at a pricetag much lower that of the Apple iPhone.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The HTC One A9 is being offered at a price tag of $399.99 (roughly Rs. 26,000). The handset will hit the stores starting November. For the time, there is no report on the launch of the smartphone in India. Pre-orders for the HTC One A9 have already begun in the US.
DESIGN & DISPLAY
The HTC One A9 has been designed like an iPhone6. It offers a 5 inch 1080p AMOLED display screen. It sports a super thin metal frame. The One A9 handset is guarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is backed by a 2150mAh battery. The customers can choose among Topaz Gold, Carbon Grey, Opal Silver, and Deep Garnet colour variants.
SOFTWARE
The new HTC One A9 functions on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense skin on top. HTC has assured that the smartphone will receive the software updates. The company has said that the HTC handset will receive the updates as soon as Nexus handsets.
HARDWARE
The HTC One A9 is powered an all-new 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with 1.5GHz quad-core and 1.2GHz quad-core engines. The HTC One A9 can be purchased in two inbuilt storage and RAM versions- 16GB with 2GB RAM, and 32GB with 3GB RAM. The inbuilt storage can be expandable upto 200GB via microSD . The handset also houses fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope and magnetic sensor.
CAMERA & CONNECTIVITY
Users will get a 13-megapixel rear camera with sapphire cover lens which clicks Blur free images with OIS technology. Other features include f/2.0 aperture, autofocus , LED Flash, BSI sensor and 1080p video recording shooting. The smartphone Selfie lovers won’t be disappointed with will sport a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing fixed-focus camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 3G and Micro-USB.
SPECIAL FEATURES & OFFERS
The HTC One A9 comes with a physical switch below the screen. HTC will be offering the ‘Uh-Oh’ protection plan. Users don’t have to bother about any harm from water, cracked screen or a carrier switch as they will get a free phone replacement in these cases within the first twelve months from the date of purchase. Six months of Google Play Music subscription is also being offered by the company.
