The other leading mobile and Smartphone manufacturer in the world, HTC has by now already updated some of its prominent Smartphone devices with the latest Android 4.3 jelly Bean operating system and we have already brought you the updates in form of news. Now it’s time to make you updated with one more fresh report that the HTC One is soon going to receive the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system in the US. Most probably the device will start receiving the update by the end of January. The American Division of HTC ensured the report through its twitter page mentioning, “In North America, we plan to deliver Kit Kat (including Sense 5.5) to HTC One customers by the end of January.” So it’s time for the HTC American users to enjoy for sure.
Answering to the question of one of its followers, HTC revealed the info and clarified that only the North American users will be benefited from the update and can flash their devices with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS along with Sense 5.5 by January end. Apart, HTC also clarified that the KitKat update for DNA Droid is scheduled to arrive by Q1 and so there is no chance of switching to Sony Xperia. However, nothing has been revealed yet by the manufacturer about the Android 4.4 update for its most recently released Phablet HTC One Max. But what we assume it too will receive the update by the same duration.
Conversely, HTC also cast light on the about to take place Android 4.3 Jelly bean update for Verizon HTC One. As per the clarification, the update will be two-step process, first update for compatibility and next the Android OS update in December. “First update for compatibility happening this week, followed by Android OS update in Dec,” said the HTC USA in tweet. However, it ensured that delay in the Verizon Android 4.3 update will no way affect the update of Android 4.4 KitKat i.e. scheduled to take place in January.
