The HTC One M8 Android 4.4.4 update is now live for the European region. Owners of the unlocked variant of the HTC ONe M8 smartphones should get an alert in the notifications panel. The new software update has build number 3.28.401.6 and the Android 4.4.4 update has a size of 252 MB . It is currently is being rolled out in the Nordic regions of Europe. Other countries will be receiving this soon.
The new Android 4.4.4 OTA update for HTC One M8 brings many security fixes. The update comes with the HTC Eye Experience package that includes features like Split Capture, Face Tracking, Face Fusion, Voice Selfie and Live Makeup.The Eye Experience comes pre loaded in the new HTC Desire EYE which has been launched recently.
When the Android 4.4.4 OTA update arrives in your region you should be able to notice a system update message in the notifications bar. You have to Tap on it,select Download now and then select Install now after the download process is complete.
Incase you don’t receive the update alert the you can manually check and get 4.4.4 kitkat update for you HTC One M8, you have to go to Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for software updates.
Before you begin the update process you must keep these in mind
- Keep atleast 60-70% battery back up in your Sony Xperia E1 to prevent accidental shut down of the device.
- Backup of all your data is a must
- Wi-Fi connection is recommended as the update as firmware update may be of several megabytes
- You should not interrupt the update process and use the phone only after rebooting.
HTC One M8 Eye has been listed on the company’s shopping website site for the customers in China. The HTC One (M8 Eye) is only listed in China and is currently available for pre-order at CNY 3,999). The official launch of this new One-series smartphone will be on October 15.
