New CBR250R from Honda

Now the tough gets tougher with the launch of new Honda 2015 CBR 250R with cosmetic and technical changes in the Indonesian market. It has adapted some looks from the Honda CBR 300. The first Honda CBR 250R was launched in the year 2011.The new CBR250R comes in two variants-ABS and Non ABS. The ABS variant is priced between Rs 2.94 lakh to Rs 3.08 lakh and the Non ABS variant is priced between Rs 2.53 lakh to Rs 2.59 lakh.

The Honda CBR 250R is fitted with the single cylinder, DOHC, 250cc engine. The engine has 4 valves, it is water cooled and is mated to a 6-speed gear box. The older CBR 250R engine produced 26PS of maximum power and 22.9Nm of maximum torque while the updated one now delivers a power of 29PS at 9000RPM and a torque of 23Nm at 7500RPM.The bike has better efficiency as gives a mileage of 50.1kmpl which is 0.9kmpl more than the older one.

The new Honda CBR 250R will be available in three colours-millennium red, honda three colours and repsol Honda edition. The bike comes with a lot of cosmetic updates like the striking dual barrel headlamps. The bike has got crisp design with the new front, side and rear fairings. It has a stylish chromeplated exhaust muffler. The Non ABS version is lighter than the ABS by six kilograms. The new ABS (anti lock braking system) incorporated in the CBR 250 R is an improved one which gives better control to the riders on slippery roads. The chances of collision are also reduced with the ABS. The Honda sports a pro-link suspension system and its stiffness can be adjusted by the ride as per convenience. The seat has been redesigned and it feels softer now. There is also a change in the placement of the foot rest in the bike to ensure maximum comfort.

The new Honda CBR 250R has improved dynamics, looks and performance. It is expected to be launched in India soon. It will be pitched against Yamaha R15, KTM Duke 200 and Kawasaki Ninja 200 in India.
