The new release date of the Samsung Galaxy S26 and the Samsung Galaxy S26 ultra has been leaked online by a popular tipster. The launch date has probably been changed by the South Korea based tech major and has become viral. Another interesting feature and the battery capacity is being talked about.
Release Date Of Samsung Galaxy S26 Series
A tipster by the handle, “Ice Universe” has leaked the timeline on his X handle and said that, “Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Timeline (South Korea), Unpacked Event: February 25, Pre-order period: February 26 to March 4, Pre-sale period: March 5 to March 10, Market launch date: March 11”
So from the X post we can easily sum up that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series is likely to be showcased on February 25 and will be launched in the markets by March 11, but here there is a catch, all this will happen in South Korea. It is yet to be known whether the release will be global or region specific.
Interesting Leaked Feature
Ice Universe in another X post has said that there is another interesting leak. By way of this leak, “Samsung is becoming the killer of screen protector manufacturers.” On the 2026 Galaxy S26 Ultra, the direction of the new generation Gorilla Glass is very clear: problems that once required screen protectors are now solved directly at the glass level.
Anti reflective films, ultra clear films, tempered glass protectors, and privacy films are all losing their reason to exist. The tipster further adds, “More importantly, every selling point and every highlight of Samsung’s glass is deliberately aimed at eliminating one type of film: Anti reflective coating eliminates anti reflective films. CoE non polarized light technology eliminates ultra clear high transparency films.”
Further, the new generation of ultra high strength Gorilla Glass eliminates tempered glass protectors. The new screen privacy technology eliminates privacy films. Ice Universe adds, “When all these capabilities are built into the glass itself, the screen protector industry is being systematically pushed to the edge.”
The Samsung Galaxy S26 has the the following much needed and awaited upgrades, such as: Bigger battery, Faster wireless charging, Faster and more efficient processor, new video controls on Autofocus and sharpness, higher 256 GB base storage, faster memory and the last but not the least a thinner and better design.
Earlier another tipster, Steve H. McFly on his X handle ‘OnLeaks’ has shared a video of a Galaxy S26 Ultra dummy unit. However we do not completely confirm the device to be the Galaxy S26 because another tipster has shared a different design. As per the video, Galaxy S26 Ultra’s corners appear more rounded. The camera island stands out, giving the phone a more formal look.
It is worth mentioning here that, in a recent community discussion, people have complained that the charging technology of Samsung phones has barely advanced in years, while Chinese competitors are offering 60W+ wired charging and much faster wireless charging, Samsung refuses to do so despite being a premium brand.
Another thing that has been discussed is to improve the battery capacity to 5000 mAH or more. Samsung fans have requested the Korean tech giant to better the hardware and the software so that the devices keep up with the pace of the changing technology. It is to be seen whether these suggestions are considered in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series.
