Now Google Phone App will auto record Calls from Unknown Numbers, Know How to activate Settings

Often it so happens that we receive calls from unknown numbers. Sometimes we have a pretty good discussion and at times the discussion takes an ugly turn due to certain reasons. Later we repent why we didn’t record the conversation. Now Google has found a solution to this problem. Guess what! Now Google Phone App will auto record calls coming from unknown numbers.

Previous year, Google had added the call recording feature to its phone app followed by other great features like Caller ID, verified calls etc. But the latest update from Google has activated this new feature to auto record calls from unknown numbers. According to XDA Developers, Google has started pushing this update to few devices and others are on queue. Generally, the Google Phone app is available in Pixel or Stock Android phones. But you can also download the app separately from the Google Play Store.

How to Activate Automatic Call Recording

  • Go to Google App and click on the Three Dot Menu Button.
  • Now click on “Call Recording”.
  • Now click on “Numbers not in Your Contacts”.
  • After choose “Always record”.

After this Setting, all unknown calls coming to your phone will be auto recorded. But on initiation of the recording Google will send a notification to each of you. This recording will only be saved to the storage of your phone and not to external memory. Auto recording will not take place if the storage of your phone is full.
