OnePlus this date bags rave reviews as a leading smartphone manufacturer across the globe. Post showing charisma in the Smartphone market, now the tech giant is ready to start up a new venture and this time in the television segment. CEO Pete Lau of late announced on working of its first ever Smart TV called the OnePlus TV, expected to launch in 2019.
Reportedly, the OnePlus Smart TV will be equipped with high quality hardware, seamless features and a chic design with the company’s first USB Type-C headphones which is supposed to be integrated in the company’s next flagship model Smartphone called OnePlus Type C Bullets. This Smartphone is projected to get lunched in the fourth quarter of this year and it’s claimed to deliver a “minimal loss of quality for a superior audio outcome”.
Ahead of launch, the company has confirmed that the OnePlus 6T will come packed with Oppo F9 and Vivo V11 Pro like in display fingerprint sensors. “We want to bring the home environment to the next level of intelligent connectivity”, to do this, we are building a new product of OnePlus’ premium flagship design, image quality and audio experience to more seamlessly connect the home. We call it: OnePlus TV.” said CEO of the company.

As per the CyberMedia Research (CMR) report, OnePlus has occupied the second top position in the premium smartphone segment in India with a 25 percent market share, whereas Samsung dominates the segment with a 48 percent market share. The company has suggested the presence of newer technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI).
Executives of OnePlus are researching to get an official name for the OnePlus Smart TV and asking for community help to find an official name to their first TV product. Registration for proposed names is open till October 16 and the top 10 best entries will be selected by the month end. All of them would be awarded with a pair of OnePlus wireless Bullets worth Rs. 3,990 and the winner will get a free trip to the lunch event with the first OnePlus TV.
