Requirements
- Nokia X, X+ or XL Mobile
- A Windows PC
- Original USB cable
- Charge the battery if power is less than 60% to avoid unexpected device shut down.
- Backup of personal data such as SMS, Contacts, videos, call logs and other files are necessary because in rooting procedure the data are wiped out.
Steps to root Nokia X, X+ & XL Android Phone
- First of all download the rooting package i.e. framaroot.apk, file for your phone here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2566341&d=1391850491) and save the files to desktop.
- Now connect your Mobile phone to your PC via USB cable. (USB drives must have been installed in your PC before).
- Move the rooting package to your device.
- You can disconnect your device from your PC now.
- Now go to the File Manager section in your phone and search for the framaroot.apk, there.
- After locating, click the framaroot.apk, file. You will be prompted with two root exploits i.e. “Aragorn” and “Gandalf”.
- Click on “Gandalf” and the exploit will be installed on your device. Wait still the installation completes.
- Now reboot your Nokia X+ phone to get your device rooted.
