As you know, the latest version of Android i.e. KitKat 4.4 has created huge hullabaloo around, almost all Android mobiles are getting crazy to update their Smartphone devices with this latest version of Software. Before we have seen many reputed Carriers have already started updating their Android devices with the latest  firmware and what the recent report reveals, the Galaxy S4 at Google Play has also started receiving the update since the previous day. The update is being rolled out in phases and hence might take little time to reach your device. If you are among the fortunate ones, then we suppose you must have so far received the update in the notification panel of your device.

You can check the update by simply visiting the software notification panel of your device. To do the same, visit the Settings => About Phone => Software Update Menu sections in your device. If found any notification, then simply tap on the install button to go through the installation process. But we recommend you to get connected to a WiFi network before going through the installation process, since it will use much of your mobile data. And if you don’t find any update also don’t get worried since it’s sent installments and you might take some time to get it on your device.

As we have also told you earlier, the Android 4.4 KitKat brings a number of improvements in your device. The improvements include the overall UI, superior battery life, voice search, enhanced & faster multi-tasking, pre-installed QuickOffice, revamped dialpad, better Google Now, Google Keyboard with emoji support, Contacts UI that displays info and business caller ID for number which aren’t saved, Hangouts app with SMS & MMS support, Bluetooth MAP Support, full-screen immersive mode, Chromecast Support, ART support, Closed captioning and many others which you can better judge after flashing the firmware in your device.

One thing must be clarified here that your device can only receive the latest Android update notification if it runs the full stock ROM and if you have modified your device, then it will not receive any notification. So you will have to restore your device to custom ROM for receiving the update in your device.
