Early this month at IFA in Berlin, Sony showcased two of its forthcoming devices, the Xperia XZ and the Xperia X Compact. Both the Smartphones were expected to get released somewhere within this year. But Sony was found too prompt than expectation as the manufacturer has already scheduled the Sony Xperia XZ – the better one among the two showcased in IFA, to release on October 2 in the US markets. With this launch, Sony’s X Lineup has definitely gone a step ahead, but the price of the device sounds bit hefty when we say it’s a $699.99 device. Lol! What features Sony incorporated in this! Is the amount worth investment? let’s have a look.
Before I peep into the device features & specs, I would like to tell you that the US version of the Sony Xperia XZ is barred from fingerprint sensor. So users have to follow the traditional format to unlock their device. Similarly, you will get a 5.2-inch Full HD display with just 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, again a lag as I think you would never like to invest $700 for a device with such mean resolution. The Sony Smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor which you will find in almost all Android flagships of the present era. However, the device packs a quad-core chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM which is good combo of course. It’s never that you can judge performance of your device from the RAM only.
However, you can never underestimate one thing in the Sony devices is their look and same goes with the Xperia XZ also. The Smartphone is classy at look and is both dust- and water-resistant. And moving ahead, it packs a 23MP rear cam which is quite a good combination. Though we can’t assume the photography from just camera pixels, but still we suppose it will capture you qualitative pictures with perfect clarity and color adjustment. But still we have to have the device in hands to report Sony’s perfection in imaging with this device and hence we have to wait still Octiber 2nd.
