The 3DAround app has been developed by Swiss software company Dacuda. This new app will be a gift for the photography lovers. The app can be used to take 360 degree pictures of objects and then display them as 3D photographs.
Now you must be thinking how this new App works. Isn’t it? The 3DAround uses Dacuda’s omni-directional SLAM Scan 3D technology (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) engine along with software and algorithms for 3D scanning with the iPhone 6’s camera. It extracts a full 3D model of an image from different angles and then it combines the multiple images into a single virtual 3D image. The 3DAround uses the iPhone’s accelerometer sensor and when you tilt, the image shifts and shows a view of the object along with its surroundings.
Alexander Ilic from Dacuda said that The app allowed users to share full dining experiences via 3D images so lifelike, viewers could almost taste the food 3DAround extracted a full 3D model of an image, capturing object depth and structure as users moved around to take food photos from various angles. He further mentioned that It combined those multiple images into a single, virtual 3D photo.
The app clicks images which are 3-dimensional and also interactive as well. The app was designed specially for the on the lovers of food photography. You can capture 3D images of not just food but any other object too.
