The Brand New Etios Cross From Toyota

Toyota has launched the new Etios Cross in India with prices ranging between Rs 5.76 lakhs to 7.5 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi)*. The Etios cross was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014 held in the month of February. After  Etios and Liva. The cross will be the third one on the roads. The Etios Cross comes with 3 engine options – two  petrol (1.5-litre and 1.3-litre) and one diesel (1.4-litre) option.

The exterior of Toyota Etios is adorned with a bold front grille, diamond cut alloy wheels, roof rails, side cladding, rear cladding, rear defogger with wiper, roof spoiler, fog lamps with integrated turn indicators, and ORVMs with turn indicators. The interior is no less as it comes with black dashboard and centre console, large sporty black fabric seat with white stitch and logo, 2 Din audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Aux-in support, leather wrapped steering with audio controls and driver seat height adjustment feature. Safety features include dual front SRS airbags and ABS with EBD.

The Toyota Etios Cross will be available in four grades G , V , GD and VD. The G grade will be made available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine with 79 bhp as maximum power and 104 Nm of maximum torque. The V grade will be available with the 1.5-litre petrol engine delivering a maximum power of 89 bhp and a maximum torque of 132 Nm. The GD and VD grades are equipped with the 1.4-litre diesel engine delivering maximum power of 67 bhp and a maximum  torque of 170 N-m .All the engines have 5-speed gearbox.

The economy of the engines is pretty good. The Fuel economy of the G grade is 17.71kmpl ,V grade is 16.78kmpl and the diesel engine gives a mileage of 23.59kmpl. The G grade is priced at Rs 5.76  lakhs ,the V at 7.35 lakhs, the GD at 6.9 lakhs and the high end VD at 7.5 lakhs.

The new Etios Cross is available in eight shade-the new sporty Inferno Orange, Symphony Silver, Vermilion Red, Ultramarine Blue, Classic Grey , Celestial Black, White, Vermilion Red and Harmony Beige. The Etios Cross sold like hot cakes after its launch in Brazil and Toyota will be hoping to get the same results in India. The Etios Cross will complete against Skoda Fabia and the Volaswagen Polo in the Indian Market.
