Unlock Bootloader, Install TWRP Recovery, Root and Unroot Poco M3 By Using Magisk

Root Poco M3 easily to get full control over the device. Rooting is possible by using Magisk manager .The 5G version of Poco M3 Pro is ready to out in market on 19th of May 2021. And still on the 4G then try out the newer one by paying little more. Poco M3 is a 6.53 inch phone with HD quality display. It runs on MIUI12. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with UFS 2.1/2.2 storage. Minimum 6GB LPDDR4X RAM the Poco M3 provides clean experience. Holding 6000mAh battery 2.0, the device gives 48 MP triple camera  and 8 MP sulfide camera. Hence rooting procedure is given below check out along with unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP recovery.

Caution

Once the Poco M3 is been rooted can’t return back to its original ROM unless until it is been treated with Official stock ROM. So do think a bit more times to root the device and bear the warranty loss. You won’t be able to get official OTA updates on your Smartphone. If not followed the steps properly, the device get completely dead. Any damage or loss will not be the responsibility of Blogzamana. Pre-Requirements

  • Poco M3
  • Windows PC
  • You must have network with 4G connectivity on your PC or laptop what you are using to download files from here
  • Original USB cable must be used or else the device will not get detected
  • Battery power must be roughly 40% or more to stay away from automatic shut down
  • Back up all the personal data present in phone through backup apps
  • Install a custom recovery like TWRP to flash files
  • Unlock the bootloader of your  phone

How to Unlock the bootloader Poco M3 without using PC

1.Needed to enable the developer option first

2.Then enable the OEM unlock and USB debugging in setting option

3.Then download the Mi flash tool and run on PC

4.Now sign into the existing account and boot the device in fastboot mode and unlock the phone

Install TWRP recovery on Poco M3

1.First download the platform Zip and extract it

2.Then download the TWRP recovery file from the here

3.Now extract the platform zip file on PC and copy the TWRP Recovery.img file to the Platform folder

4.Rename the recovery file to twrp.img

5.Enable the developer option by tapping on the built number 7 times.

6.Next is to enable the USB Debugging in settings->developer option

7.Boot the phone to fastboot mode by switching off the phone and pressing the Volume down button and Power button and releasing with the fastboot mode is open

8.Type CMD in the address bar in the platform tool folder and press enter

9.Now a command window will open then connect the phone to PC and type the following command

adb reboot bootloader

10.The phone boot into bootloader mode and then type the following command

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

11.wait for a while until the tool flashing is completed. As soon as type reboot the device in command to reboot in normal mode.

Root Poco M3 Using Magisk

  1. First download the Magisk zip file on your phone and then move to internal storage.
  2. Boot to recovery mode by pressing Volume Down and Power button and do not release the button unless until you see the Boot animation.
  3. Then tap on Install from the TWRP Recovery page and select the Magisk .Zip file from the internal storage.
  4. Tap on Swipe to confirm Flash and reboot the Smartphone.
  5. When the phone gets booted, install the, Magisk Manager APK.

You have successfully rooted the Poco M3 by using Magisk file

Check the device is rooted or not

  • First of all download Root Checker App from Google Play Store.
  • Then Open the App → Click Verify Root

Now, here you will see the message “Congratulations! Root Access is properly installed on this device” if your device has been successfully rooted.

Unroot your POCO M3

In case rooting your device doesn’t satisfy you then unroot the device by following procedure.

  • Open Magisk Manager App.
  • Tap on Uninstall option at the bottom
  • Then select the pop up message Complete uninstall
  • Now the Magisk Manager App will ask permission, grant by clicking Allow

Then it will automatically download the uninstaller package and it will reboot your phone.
