Samsung just released the July 2021 update to keep it updated in the last week of June, and various phones and green tablets have already got it. Even last year’s high-end smartphone Galaxy A51 received the July 2021 update last week. Therefore, the Galaxy A51 5G will only benefit from the June 2021 storage update.
Galaxy A51 5G (SM-A516B) has started to obtain the latest software development in Taiwan. The new version includes firmware version A516BXXS4CUG1, with a June 20 patch that fixes more than 16 security and privacy issues. The new version solves the gap between different Exynos processors. Galaxy A51 5G uses Exynos 980 processors. It is expected that development will be expanded to other countries in the next few days verified.

Caution
Make sure to cross-check the Name and model of your Smartphone before starting the update since it’s only meant for the said device. Pre-requisites

- Original USB Cable
- Enable USB Debugging Mode. You will find the option in the Developer Section of your device. By pressing the built number 7 time
- Back-Up all important data in your Smartphone since the update will erase all your data.
- Keep at least 70% battery back up on your phone
- Make sure you install the latest firmware on the SM-A516B model only
- Make sure, the SAMSUNG-drivers are installed on your PC
- Download Odin3-v3.14.4.zip file keep in PC
- Download Android 11 A516BXXS4CUG1 firmware keep in PC
Tutorial to Update Samsung Galaxy A51 5G SM-A516B with Android 11 A516BXXS4CUG1 firmware in Taiwan
- Download Android 11 A516BXXS4CUG1 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy A51 5G SM-A516B. Then extract the firmware file you just downloaded on your PC. You should get 5 files.
AP (System &Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator
HOME_CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)
- Now add each file to its relevant field in Odin v3.14.4. If you want to do a clean flash then Use CSC_*** or if you want to keep your apps and data then add in HOME_CSC_***.
- Switch off the device and then reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode pressing the POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
- If the above options did not work then try 5 more methods by pressing;
- Once you are in download mode then connect your phone to the PC, if possible use the original USB cable you got with your phone.

- A BLUE box will show up with the COM port number when the Odin gets detected in your device.
- Make sure you don’t tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-reboot only.
- After that click on the start button, wait for Odin to say ‘PASS ‘in a GREEN box.
- Flashing gets complete then your phone will reboot and then disconnect your phone from the PC
- Now again go to ODIN in PC and there you get AP (System &Recovery) get Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 1 file MD5-file in AP-field in Odin and add that.
- Reboot your phone in Download mode by pressing the POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
- Once you are in download mode then connect your phone to the PC, if possible use the original USB cable you got with your phone
- A BLUE box shown up with the COM port number when the Odin gets appear in your device.
- Make sure you don’t tick any extra boxes. The only options which is tick includes F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
- After that click on the start button, wait for Odin to say ‘PASS ‘in a GREEN box.
Voila! Update SM-A516B with Android 11 A516BXXS4CUG1 firmware for Taiwan users.
