How to connect multiple Bluetooth speakers and headphones to one Smartphone

Bluetooth speakers have become immense popular these days due to their portability, lack of Wi-Fi requirements, and resistance to difficult situations. They can use any smartphone and offer high class music with the smart speakers.

While listening to music, not a single speaker or smartphone can guarantee the brand’s sound quality. The latest technological advances and the digital era now allows Bluetooth speakers and mobile phones to connect to a multimedia smartphone.

How to connect

You can connect multiple Bluetooth speakers and headphones to your phone, depending on your device and Bluetooth type. To connect multiple audio devices, follow these steps:

  1. First, you need to turn on Bluetooth when connecting to headphones and speakers.
  2. Android users need to access Bluetooth settings and pair Bluetooth speakers or headsets with each other one after one.
  3. Once connected, tap on the three-dot icon on right top and click on ‘Advanced Settings’. In case of disable, turn on the ‘dual audio’ option as it allows users to connect to two devices at a time.
  4. In Android version 10 or higher, the connected Bluetooth device is accessible quickly by clicking Media in the dashboard and selecting two paired devices for an audio file.
  5. For iPhone users, go to the iPhone Users Control Center and click on the ‘Airplay’ icon. Then select a loudspeaker or a paired wireless headset to output sound at the same time. Removing the headset or loudspeaker disables audio sharing on that device.

Dual audio features

The majority of Android phones and iPhones today offer the option to share dual sound and audio, audio play simultaneously from two devices. Every single iPhone 8 models have a sound sharing feature. So if you have a very old smartphone, your phone will probably provide dual sound capabilities. The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the newest models. The dual sound option permits to sync several Bluetooth devices and speakers & can be set up in Bluetooth settings.

Not available on all devices

Not all companies offer the ability to connect multiple Bluetooth speakers and headphones to one smartphone. For example, Bluetooth v4.2 only supports single device connections up to 30 meters. Bluetooth V5, on the other hand, can provide connections up to 120 meters and allows you to connect to two devices at the same time. Some Bose speakers have their own audio program that allows you to add up to two speakers at a time.
