World’s largest Telescope Started in China, Will Search for Aliens in Space

Finally three years long wait has come to an end and the biggest Radio Telescope of the World has been launched. Science has made another miracle. If purpose of this Telescope is met, then a number of hidden mysteries about the World, Universe and the Galaxy will come to the limelight. The mystery about Aliens will no more be only an assumption as this Radio Telescope will find them out. This Telescope was launched after a long trial of three years. It was on trial since September 2016 and is named as “Eye of Space”.

According to Media reports, the Radio Telescope i.e. placed on hills of the Guizhou province took around 20 years for completion. Scientists from 10 countries, including the United States, Britain and Pakistan, have assisted in mking of this Telescope and around Rs 1207 crore spent on it. This Chinese telescope can collect 38 gigabytes (GB) of data in a second. 

This largest sensitive radio telescope is 2.5 times more sensitive than Puerto Rico’s Arecibo Observatory. Worth mentioning that the world’s second largest single-dish radio telescope is installed in the Observatory in Puerto Rico. Purpose of making this Telescope is to search for life in space. Besides, this telescope will also search for Aliens in space.

This Telescope is named after Fivehundredmeter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). In size, the 4450 panel telescope is is equivalent to 30 football fields and is four times higher in space range. So far it has discovered more than 44 pulsars. If you don’t know, a pulsar is a fast rotating neutron or star, which emits radio waves and electromagnetic radiation.
