Android Kitkat for older Sony Xperia phones

The Android 4.4 is designed to run fast, smooth and responsively on a wide range of gadgets. It can even run efficiently on the devices having 512MB RAM. It serves in reducing the memory use and brings new APIs and tools. The Android 4.4 gives a completely new and smart experience to the users.

Sony has recently launched Xperia Z2 which runs on Android Kitkat 4.4. It is a top end smart phone and has been priced at Rs 49,990. Now the android kitkat 4.4 will be available to Xperia series smartphones- Xperia Z, Xperia Zl, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z worldwide. The android Kitkat 4.4 firmware update will reach the phones very soon. Sony has also plans on kitkat ROMs for Xperia E1, Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia M2 after the Android 4.4 update is made available for users. The kitkat ROMs is expected to release in July this year.

The updated phones will have renovated Status Bar and Quick Settings, customizable notifications. They will have Updated Sony Media apps Walkman, Album and Movies, with Sony Entertainment improved performance & user interface optimizations. They will get New Play station 4-like animations and live wallpaper on the lock and home screens. Network cloud service integration which gives a more converged and full Sony entertainment experience , it has Sony Entertainment Network & Play Memories integration with a more intuitive user interface, better download speeds and much  more. You will also get  Xperia Themes with downloadable UI packs from Sony Select. You will now able to use an Updated Email, Smart Social Camera and Battery STAMINA Mode. The battery stamina mode lowers the battery consumption and saves your charge. The phones will now have Compatibility with Sony SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app that will allow you to record social, physical and entertainment activities and transfer them via NFC or Bluetooth to your smartphones. The smart band is priced at Rs 5990.
