Just a few days ago, Samsung launched the proud successor of the popular Galaxy Grand Smartphone, the Grand 2 and was made available in India in white variant only. But now there is a good news for the Indians that the South Korean giant has also introduced two more colors i.e. Black and Pink variants of the device in India. While the black variant is already available for instant order, you have to wait further a few days to put your hands on the pink handset.
If compared with the original Galaxy Grand 2, the later comes comprised with many a improved features and costs around $365 (Rs. 21,900) in India. It’s a dual SIM device that comes featured with a 5.25 inch TFT touchcreen display and supports 720×1280 pixels resolution with 280 ppi pixel density. The Smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor and runs on the powerful Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.
Being an improvised version of the Galaxy Grand device, the Smartphone also supports superior camera and networking features. For camera purposes, the device supports 8 MP rear cam with LED flash light and 1.9 MP secondary camera. Other camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, & image stabilization etc. It can also record videos at [email protected]. It’s both 2G and 3G compatible and supports other networking features like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot & Bluetooth etc.
Besides, the Grand 2 supports 1.5GB of RAM along with 8 GB of internal storage space which can even be extended up to 32GB in case of need, via a microSD card. The inbuilt applications in the device include Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa, Image/video editor, Document viewer, GPS etc. It packs a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery which is claimed to provide 370 hours standby and 17 hours of talk time. The Smartphone is now available in multiple colors i.e. Black, White & Pink in India.
