Gionee Gpad G5 all set to Hit the Markets by Next Week

Gionee, the Chinese manufacturer of late officially unveiled the Gionee Gpad G5 phablet, which is the proud successor to the Company’s February released Gpad G4 and announced that the device will be made available in the market by next week via both online and offline sources. While the company has fixed considerable Rs. 14,999 for the phablet, we must analyze if the amount invested by the users for this device really stands up to mark! So now let’s take a look on the different specs and features of the Gionee Gpad G4 device.

The Gionee Gpad G5 phablet boasts of a 5.5-inch Hing Definition display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and AGC Dragontail glass protection. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz Hexa-core processor that more promptly supports an ARM-Mali 450 GPU. It runs on the out-of-the-box Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system along with the Amigo UI on front top. The storage credential is also adorable since the device packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which you can further extend up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.

Among other features, the Gionee Gpad G5 seems quite good in the camera front since it packs a an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and advanced options like geo-tagging and supports a 2MP front-facing camera which can be used for the purpose of video conference. From connectivity point of view, the device includes a number of options such as 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/A-GPS etc. The phablet measures 157.3 x 77.6 x 7.9 mm in shape, and weighs only around 104.6 grams. To enable the device for durable power performance, the Gionee Gpad G5 is powered by a 2400 mAh battery, which is said to provide up to 288 hours of standby, up to 15 hours of talk time on 2G, and up to 12 hours of talk time on 3G network.

The device will be made available in market in a couple of variants i.e. white and black by next week and you have to pay the Indian Price Rs. 14,999. While many devices within the same cost and many laudable features are already hovering in the market, it will definitely be interesting to see, to what extent this new device becomes able to  confront the stiff competition.
