Gmail to create emails drafts for users with new AI tool “Help Me Write”
Good news Gmail users. The Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced AI-powered tool for GMail. This feature will help users to write emails using prompts. Let's see how to use this tool.
The Google I/O 2023 ended with good notes. The event saw lots of new releases, introduction of new products, features and research updates. But best part of the event was the introduction of the new AI Tool that Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced during the event. The new AI Feature named “Help Me Write” can generate email drafts using the user’s input in Gmail. To use this features, the users just need to start typing mail and then click on the “Help Me Write” button. The AI now will automatically draft a mail in which the users can make changes and send.
Reportedly, the AI feature “Help Me Write” is still under testing mode and is being tested by few trusted users since March. It will be rolled for the public once the testing is completed. But once launched, it will save the user’s time and effort and will help them create more personalized mails in the future.
During launch, the Google CEO said that the feature can be used for several Email purposes including sending a quick thank-you note, scheduling a meeting, or following up on a lead. Further, it can create templates for common purposes like applying for a job or asking for a refund.
Now let’s see how you can use this new AI feature called Help Me Write.
- First log into your Gmail Account and after click on the Compose button to create a mail.
- As soon you start typing, you will see a Pencil icon with a sparkle after the Send button.
- Click on the Pencil icon to start the Help Me Write menu where you will get a variety of options such as 1. Suggesting Words and Phrases
2. Completing Sentences
3. Generating email templates
4. Checking grammar and spelling
From the list, choose the button that best your requirement and AI will help generating your mail. After making the necessary tweaks, you can send the mail by clicking on the Send Button.
