Hero Karizma relunched in Indian Market as 2018 Karizma ZMR: No major changes marked in terms of Specs

Hero Karizma, one of the most shouted after motorcycles in the country after it’s first market lunch in 2003, that bagged rave reviews for its chic look and dynamic features. But the rennovated version that was lunched in 2014 didn’t get that acceptance due to its odd styling. Because it failed to recieve the BS-IV update, the bike finally was withdrawn from the Indian market the previous year.

However, good news for the Hero lovers. The company has now relunched the Karizma in Indian market with BS-IV update and that’s why we might think that the bike this time may make some difference in the market. The bike is being lunched in two color variants i.e. standard and dual tone and is priced at ₹ 1.08 lakh and ₹ 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

The bike is yet to be made to public in outlets, but pre-booking for the motorcycle has started already. Now coming to the cosmetics of the bike, you will mark now major change as you will find it in the same guise as exposed at the Auto Expo 2018. The bike too packs the same features and specs such as a 223 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel injection i.e. BS-IV compliant now, and can produce 20 bhp at 8000 rpm and 19.7 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm.

The Karizma ZMR 2018 is packed with a 5 speed gearbox and the company claims that it can run up to the top speed of 129 kmph. The bike manages teh suspension activities by telescopic forks up front and a twin shocks at the rear. From breaking prospect, the bike is quite superb as it features both front and back disc brakes.

Now warapping things, it’s yet not known why the company has decided to relunch this bike again while it’s already working on newer premium commuter motorcycles like the Xtreme 200R and the upcoming Hero XPulse 200. But the intention behind lunching this bike will be known shortly, once the bike is up and ready for sale.
