How to update Samsung Galaxy J8 SM-J810M to Android 8.0.0 J810MUBU2ASB1 Firmware

The Samsung Galaxy J8 SM-J810M Smartphone is now getting upgraded to the brand new Android 8.0.0 Oreo J810MUBU2ASB1 firmware. The firmware is supposed to bring a number of changes on your existing OS with bug fixes and adition on new goodies. To taste these new features on your handset, you need to upgrade it to the latest OS.

So what you have to do is to check the notification panel of your Samsung Galaxy J8 SM-J810M to get the update notification.     4. Enable USB Debugging by going to settings>application>development. Do not forget to untick the box when the update is finished.

Update Samsung Galaxy J8 SM-J810M to Android 8.0.0 Oreo
  1. First make sure the Samsung Galaxy J8 SM-J810M is not rooted and then create the backup.
  2. Next download the Android Oreo J810MUBU2ASB1.zip Firmware file and then Odin. Do not rename it.
  3. After extract both the downloaded files to your PC and place them on desktop for easy finding during update.
  4.  Switch off the Samsung Galaxy J8 SM-J810M and put it into download mode.
  5. Now double click on Odin to launch it and then with the help of USB, connect the Smartphone to your PC. Soon the ID:COM box in Odin will turn yellow indicating that the device is connected. If this doesn’t happen then you must not have enabled the USB Debugging option. Do it at first.
  6. Next select “PDA” and choose the file with .tar.md5 extension from the extracted folder. Go ahead and click on the Start button.
  7. The update will start now and will take only few minutes to complete. Now your handset will reboot automatically. Then unplug the cable and go easy with the official update process.
