How to Install Wireless Mouse and Keyboard

It is very interesting to use wareless keyboard and mouse, you will feel more comfortable and reduce the number on wires used to connect  the input devices to your computer. But befor using these wireless devices you need to install them in your computer. Here is how to install these decives in your system.

When you buy a wireless input device kit, it should contain the following things

  • Wireless keyboard
  • Wireless mouse
  • Wireless receiver(s)
  • Batteries (if not, you may have to supply these)
  • Software (usually on a CD)
  • Manufacturer instructions

How to install Wireless Mouse:

  1. Insert the batteries into the mouse and keyboard, as these are wireless mouse and keyboard they will not get power form the system.
  2. Place Keyboard and Mouse on Desktop
  3. Keep the receiver at least 8 inches away from sources of interference like the computer monitor, fans, lights, or metal filing cabinets. The receiver should also be positioned somewhere between 8 inches and 6 feet from the keyboard and mouse.
  4. Insert the installation CD, which comes with your wireless keyboard and mouse.
  5. The software should start installing automatically, follow the instructions to install the drivers for the wireless peripherals.
  6. Plug in the receiver to USB connector at the end of the receiver into a free USB port on the back of your computer.
  7. Test your keyboard and mouse.

Connect mouse through Bluetooth:

  1. Insert batteries into your mouse.
  2. Insert batteries into your mouse.
  3. Make sure that the Bluetooth is turned on and the device is discoverable. If you are connecting a wireless mouse the LED on the mouse will blink when it’s discoverable.
  4. Set your Bluetooth control panel to discovery mode, it will search for the device and notify you when the device is discovered.
  5. Set up your mouse according to the instruction.
  6. Use the control panel which comes with your wireless mouse, or you can download essential software from the manufacturer’s website.
  7. Adjust the mouse setting according to your requirement
  8. Now your wireless mouse is ready to use.

While using wireless mouse or keyboard always keep a separate set of battery ready to use. Keep away other wireless devices, as these devices can interfere with your wireless keyboard and mouse.
