How to Update Samsung Galaxy A5 to Android 5.1.1 A510MUBU1AOL4 Firmware

Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy A5 to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

  1. First of all download the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop A510MUBU1AOL4 firmware for your Galaxy A5 on your computer and so also Odin. Do not rename it.
  2. After that extract both the downloaded files in the computer and place them in desktop for easy finding while updating.
  3.  Switch off the Galaxy A5 Smartphone and press the VOL DOWN KEY+OK BUTTON+POWER BUTTON to land device on download mode. When a warning message appears, press the VOL UP KEY to move further to the next step. If you return back into normal mode then again try it.
  4. Now double click on Odin to launch it and then with the help of USB cable connect the device to your PC. Soon the ID:COM box in odin will turn yellow indicating that the device is connected. If this doesn’t happen then you might not have enabled the USB Debugging (Settings>Applications>Development>USB debugging) and KIES.
  5. Now select PDA and choose the .tar file that was downloaded and extracted by you in the beginning. Make sure that the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are ticked in ODIN & the Re-Partition button is unchecked.
  6. Go ahead and click on Start. The update procedure will start now and will take few minutes. The phone will off and reboot automatically. Then unplug the cable and go easy with the official updated.

      No idea about the OTA. But you can follow the manual update method.
