- First make sure that the Samsung Galaxy A8 is not rooted. If it’s rooted then you may or may not get the exact result. It’s totally unexpected.
- Then download the Marshmallow Firmware for your Smartphone and after download Odin. Do not rename it.
- After extract both the downloaded files on your PC and place them on the desktop of your PC to find it easily while updating.
- Switch off the Samsung Galaxy A8 and press the VOL DOWN KEY+OK BUTTON+POWER BUTTON to land your Smartphone into download mode. When a warning message appears, press the VOL UP KEY to move to the next step.
- Now double click on Odin to launch it and then with the help of USB, connect the Samsung Galaxy A8 to your PC. Soon as the ID:COM box in Odin turns yellow indicating that the device is connected. If this doesn’t happen then know you have not enabled the USB Debugging option. Do so by going to Settings>Applications> Development>USB debugging and KIES.
- After select “PDA” and choose the .tar file that was downloaded & extracted by you in the beginning. Go ahead and click on the Start button.
- The update procedure will start now and will take few minutes. The Smartphone will be switched off and will reboot automatically. Then unplug the cable and go easy with the official updated process.
