Chromebook Plus and Pro are First with integrated stylus launched in CES 2017

After much speculation, Samsung came up with new chromebooks officially in CES 2017. The two models, Samsung Chromebook Plus and chromebook pro supports stylus and incorporated with Android apps. The on-screen inking is what you will see in these new editions of Chromebook. These are the premium devices powerfully featuring Exynos Chipset and are collaborated by Google and Samsung.

The Chromebook Plus/ Pro features 12.3 inches LED display with screen resolution of 2400×1600 pixels. The device can hinge to 360 degree and let the device to switch between laptop to tablet mode much is like compatible laptops available in market these days.  The display is much colorful and pretty good room for apps available with web browsing. The Chromebook plus is equipped with ARM based chip and Pro holds Intel Core M3 processors. Apart from that both are packed with 4GB of RAM.

The other features includes USB Type C ports, 4K video output, 32 GB internal memory and expandable too. The device provides 8 hours of battery life which is better when charged full. The uniqueness of Samsung is that it released the product with S-Pen that can be used to write on screen, takes screenshots and laser pointer to highlight things. There is a port where stylus can be kept, this is in side of the computer. When it is been remove an option pops up on the screen. It also take notes in Google Keep, search through Google’s optical character recognition technology.  For the inking experience Google is using its cloud services for the writing improvement and future it will be more enhanced for drawing more naturally.

Kau Liu, Senior director of Product Management for Chrome OS said that technology makes the Chromebook’s stylus more responsive than the Surface Pen used with Microsoft’s Surface Pro and Surface Book. He also said that Chromebook combines a desktop class browser with mobile app to use Google play store. This kinda flexibility will make both the device more tempting to customers as disparate to learning and endeavor sell that made the majority chromebook user base so far.

In the Chromebooks user can run Android games with no hang and believe to offer Netflix too. But the weak point is its built that is not as great as it was expected. The metal body makes a good feeling to handle but body is built with Magnesium alloy which give the feeling of cheap plastic. The device is pretty heavy and to open the lid, it takes two hands. The Price of Chromebook Plus is $449 and will be available from February.

On the whole, both Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus looks so-so device to opt for by fantastic for android apps and use of Cloud technology by Google to improve writing with the Stylus. Make us know if you are going for it or not.
