HTC has rolled out a new selfie focused smartphone called the Desire Eye. The HTC Desire EYE will be available across EMEA, Asia and the US starting in the month of October. The pricing of the smartphone has not been reveled yet. There is rise in demand for smartphones with high quality front camera. We have seen that all smartphone makers like Sony, Micromax, Nokia among many others have now brought high quality front shooters in their smartphone. The younger generation now prefers buying selfie focused smartphones.
The HTC Desire Eye sports a 5.2-inch full HD display that gives you a lot of space to work. The phone gets a unibody construction with a plastic case with IPX7 waterproof. The Desire eye smartphone is powered by a 2.3 Ghz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor It comes with 2GB of RAM that enables you to complete your task faster. The smartphone offers you 16GB internal storage that can be expandable upto 128GB via microSD. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 with HTC Sense 6.0 UI. The HTC Desire Eye features HTC Boom Sound Speakers in the front.
The HTC Desire Eye features a front facing camera placed above the screen. It is a high quality 13MP front camera which comes with dual LED flash. The rear camera is also 13 MP and has got dual LED flash. The smartphone packs a 2400 mAh battery. Both the front and rear cameras can capture 1080p@30fps video
HTC has come up with a new EYE experience on this Desire eye smartphone. The company will be rolling out the EYE Experience on to the HTC One (M7), HTC One (M8), HTC One mini, HTC One E8, HTC One mini 2, HTC Butterfly 2 ,HTC Desire 816, HTC One max and HTC Desire 820 very soon.
This new software will help you a lot to click better selfies and then also in post processing of the images. With this new EYE experience software you can take photos and shoot video by giving voice commands. This software also bring you the Live Makeup feature that helps in image correction. You will also get a Face Fusion feature which is fun to use as you can cram two faces. Crop Me in feature will enable the users to impose their selfie over the photo clicked by using the rear camera. Users can now combine simultaneous videos and images taken on the front and back cameras into one split-screen video or image.
Speaking on connectivity, the HTC Desire Eye offers GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM, micro USB, Wifi and 3G. It has got sensors like compass, proximity, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. Overall, the Smartphone seems to be a masterpiece. But to what extent it will stand to the expectations of the manufacturer is actually to be seen.
