HTC has launched the Desire 516C smartphone in India.The smartphone will be available at a price of Rs. 12,990 exclusively via e-commerce website Snapdeal. The smartphone is currently being offered in Gray colour variant only.HTC has also launched its HTC RE action camera at price of Rs. 9,990. The camera will be exclusively available via Snapdeal from the first week of November. HTC also launched the the octa-core HTC Desire 820 and quad-core HTC Desire 820q in India priced at Rs. 24,990 and Rs. 22,500 respectively. The company also launched the HTC Desire Eye and One (M8 Eye) in India. The HTC Desire Eye sports a high quality 13MP front camera which comes with dual LED flash. The rear camera is also a 13 MP one and has got dual LED flash. The smartphone packs a 2400 mAh battery. Both the front and rear cameras can capture 1080p@30fps video. HTC has come up with a new EYE experience on this Desire eye smartphone.
The HTC Desire 516C features a 5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) LCD display with a a pixel density of 220ppi. It comes with dimensions 140x72x9.7mm and weighs 160 grams. The Desire 516 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz . The Desire 516C comes loaded with 1GB of RAM. It offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expandable upto 32 GB via microSD card. The HTC Desire 516C features the HTC BlinkFeed home screen, which is available only in top end HTC smartphone. The HTC Desire 516C is a dual-SIM device (CDMA+GSM) .
The smartphone has got a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, it also features a 0.3-megapixel front-facing shooter . It runs the now-dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Connectivity features of the HTC Desire 516C include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GRPS/ EDGE, 3G (HSPA+), Micro-USB, and 3.5mm audio jack.The HTC Desire 516 comes with a 1950mAh battery which is credited to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time (3G) and up to 220 hours of standby time (3G).
