HTC has officially announced Butterfly 2 for Japan and East Asia. HTC Corporation, formerly High-Tech Computer Corporation, is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets having its headquarters at New Taipei City, Taiwan. The company was Founded in the year 1997. The company had manufactured the first Android smartphone, the first Microsoft-powered smartphone, first Microsoft 3G phone and first touchscreen smartphones. The new smartphone will be available starting next month in three body colors: purple, red, and white. The HTC Butterfly 2 shares many of its features with that of One M8 and One E8. Experts say that many of its features are far better than the HTC One M8.
The HTC Butterfly 2 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and offers 16/32 GB of internal storage space. The internal storage can be expandable with a microSD. The smartphones sports a 5-inch Full HD screen .The smartphone has got dimensions145.4×70.2x10mm and weighs 151g. The smartphone runs on Android KitKat out of the box and also comes with Sense 6 UI and Motion Launch gestures. The phone has slot for a Nano sim.
The phone features a Dual 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP secondary camera. The rear camera has got a depth sensor that will enable you to perform M8-specific tricks such as selective focus or the 3D effects. The HTC Butterfly 2 has got modern high end connectivity features like Wi-Fi, LTE, NFC, IR blaster, BT 4.0 and microUSB 2.0.
The new smartphone Butterfly 2 is water resistant, having the IP57 certification. Butterfly 2 also boats a larger battery at 2,700 mAh and has got the BoomSound speakers are capable of delivering high volume music. The audio stack has got the software from JBL, which is a Audio company.
As we know this smartphone will be first available in the Japanese market and East Asian markets,This smartphone will be marketed as HTC J Butterfly HTL23 in the Japanese market and it will be available through KDDI. The handset will be also launched in other markets, including India,Hongkong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. There is currently no report about whether the Butterfly 2 will be made available in European and US markets. Just like the previous Butterfly and the Butterfly S models, the new HTC Butterfly is combination of a plastic case with a high-end hardware features.
