Huawei Mate 8 launched in China with Kirin 950 Chipset

Huawei has launched the Mate 8 smartphone in China, revealing limited details.  This is very powerful smartphone loaded with strong and innovative hardware and software. Some say that it’s a Mini Computer.  The engineers have toiled to give the handset a superb design and display. The smartphone is expected to compete with top smarphones like Nexus 6P, Samsung Galaxy S6 and even iPhone.


A huge 6-inch Full HD display adorns the face of the smartphone. The display is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Customers can choose among Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray and Mocha Brown to flaunt.  A big 4,000 mAh battery delivers the energy for your tasks.


The Huawei Mate 8 is driven by Hisilicon Kirin 950 Processor(2.3GHz + 1.8 GHz). The Kirin 950 processor consists of four Cortex-A72 cores which have been designed to give flawless performance. There are four Cortex-A53 cores which have designed to save power and last your device longer. The handset also features a Mali-T880 GPU inside for gaming. The device also boasts a fast finger print sensor on the rear panel. Surprisingly, the handset also sports a i5 coprocessor. This helps in delivering hardware support for tasks like low-power consumption MP3, sensor hub, speech recognition, fused location provider (FLP) navigation etc. As for the RAM and ROM options, it is being rumoured to be 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM or 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM.


We have talked a lot about the incredible hardware, but we see here that the handset also features an equally strong software too. The smartphone works on Huawei’s EMUI 4.0 OS based on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You will get to enjoy voice controls, a defragmenter, a power-saving firewall, and eRecovery with this software.


Well, we don’t have complete confirmed details about the cameras but we are expecting a 16MP rear camera with DUAL LED Flash and a 8MP front camera to click self portraits. On the connectivity front, the handset features Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. We will update you soon about the complete details about the connectivity too.


The Huawei Mate 8 phablet  will be available in China . Unfortunately, we don’t have details about the price and global availability. It is anticipated to be around 3,299 CNY.
