The iPhone 15 Pro is a highly anticipated device, and new renders have been released, giving us our first look at the upcoming model. The renders are reportedly based on a CAD model from a reliable case manufacturer. While the actual design may differ, some notable changes can be observed.

The most significant change is the switch from Lightning port to USB-C, as seen on the bottom next to the bottom firing speaker. As reported by 9to5Mac, The iPhone 15 Pro also features a thinner design with curvier edges on the glass that meet with the metal frame. The edges look more fluid and comfortable to hold. The rear camera array appears to have a thicker island with thicker lenses, which could mean Apple will introduce a periscope zoom camera on its upcoming Pro models.

If you were hoping Apple would manage a reduced profile or maybe do rid of the camera bump entirely, that doesn’t seem to be happening. In fact, it appears that the camera bump will increase this year. Although it’s difficult to tell from the CAD drawing, it appears that Apple may be replacing the physical buttons on the side of the phone with capacitive ones. Reliable sources have previously reported that the iPhone 15 will transition from physical buttons to capacitive ones.

Finally, there seem to be changes to the button area, which could be slightly different in design from previous models. It has been rumored that Apple will remove physical buttons. However, it is essential to remember that these are just renders and not the actual product. The final design could differ significantly.

In conclusion, the iPhone 15 Pro’s CAD model offers some insight into the upcoming device’s design changes. However, we will have to wait for the official release later this year to get the complete picture. Nevertheless, the switch to USB-C and the thinner design with curvier edges are exciting developments that fans can look forward to.
