JioBook: Jio may soon launch Laptops with Built-in 4G Technology

Reliance Jio was the pioneer of 4G technology in India and later the company brought revolution in the telecom industry by introducing the cheap 4G Smartphone, LYF. Though this handset is scarce seen in the market these days, but credit for initiating the technology definitely goes to Jio. Soon After, Jio launched world’s cheapest 4G feature phone and now the company is said to be working on a cheap 4G laptop.

Sources convey that Jio is soon launching its first cheap Laptop with the brand name JioBook which will also include 4G connectivity. The Jio laptop will have Forked Android which will be known as JioOS. The laptop will further support all Jio Apps along with 4G LTE support.

As per reports, Jio has tied up with the Chinese company BlueBank Communications which is manufacturing the JioBook Laptops. Worth mentioning that the same company also had manufactured the Jio phone. According to reports by XDA Developers, the JioBook might launch within the first six months of 2021. Though prototypes of the laptop has already been revealed, but real photos of the laptop are yet to come into the limelight.

From the picture it can be seen that the Laptop has Windows OS, but reports convey that the laptop will not support Windows. The laptop will get a display with 1366×768 pixels reolution and will support Snapdragon 665 processor with Snapdragon X12 4G modem support.

The JioBook is supposed to get launched in two variants, one with 2GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB storage and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. For connectivity, the laptop will include Mini HDMI Connector, Dual band WiFi, Blueooth and Qualcomm Audio Chip-set. The users can get pre-installed apps like JioStore, JioMeet and JioPages in the JioBook.
