LG Optimus L4 II & LG Optimus L4 II Dual

In view of the success of its Optimus L Series II smartphones that were launched last February, LG has announced two brand new smartphones in this series called ‘LG Optimus L4 II (E440)’ and its dual SIM variant ‘LG Optimus L4 II Dual (E445)’. The smartphones have been announced in Russia and they are currently listed on the official Russian website only and not anywhere else. The newly launched LG Optimus L4 II Dual, however being dual SIM variant has completely different form factor compared to the Optimus L4 II. But other technical features are kind of same, have a look at them below.

To begin with, let me shed light on the single SIM variant LG Optimus L4 II (E440). Having monoblock form factor, the smartphone features a 3.8 inch HVGA (480 x 320 pixels) Bright True IPS capacitive display screen. Running on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean, it’s powered by MT6575 single core processor clocking at 1 GHz. It comes with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of inbuilt memory and a microSD card slot, obviously for expansion (max capacity up to 32 GB). The smartphone boasts a 3 Megapixel camera that is placed at the rear with a Flash. The camera includes the ‘Cheese Shutter’ mode, which can be used for self-portrait. While taking pictures of you, put the camera to the voice mode and say ‘Cheese’ and be guided to take a perfect picture of yourself.

This one comes with LED Home Button that we’ve already seen on many smartphones from LG. As you might know, this LED button automatically changes color whenever users receive an SMS, a call etc. The feature is said to be very convenient if you are quite keen on the silent mode. Other than being compatible with 3G network (HSDPA/HSUPA), the smartphone also has various connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, USB 2.0 HS, WiFi Direct and A-GPS. There is a 3.5 mm jack and a FM radio play; the device is capable of playing practically all audio/video formats. The battery of the smartphone has a capacity of 1700 mAh. LG Optimus L4 II (E440) is 11.9 mm thick and weighs around 125 grams.

The smartphone comes preloaded with lots of applications and a few of them are significant ones such as Quick Memo, The Guest Mode and Safety Care. The smartphone encompasses an enhanced Quick Memo that helps you to take notes by entering handwritten text. If your smartphone is being used by other family members, then the Guest Mode will really be helpful. The feature doesn’t let other users to access some of your private data. All you need is an additional security password. While unlocking the screen, use the password and the Guest mode will be turned on. It supports accelerometer and proximity sensor.

On the other hand, LG Optimus L4 II Dual (E445) retains the same form factor i.e. monoblock. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone has almost same features as Optimus L4 II. However, still there are a few differences between them. Primarily, of course the dual SIM capability, which is absent in the single SIM variant. There is a dedicated shortcut capacitive button for switching the SIMs. With single touch users can swap SIM cards.

Well, that’s the all details we’ve till now. About its availability and price, we are quite unsure. But according to some unofficial sources, the smartphones are going to be available in the month of June. We know you’re curious to know about their launch in India, to be honest, we haven’t heard any official word from the manufacturer.
